When You’re Done Hiding — Say Hello to Visibility That Feels Like You

Running a business doesn’t always mean you feel seen. In fact, many of the brilliant, driven women I work with come to me with the same quiet confession:
“I feel invisible… and I’m not sure how to change that.”
They’re showing up in some ways — maybe posting here and there, sending the odd email, or relying on word of mouth. But the idea of really being visible? Of putting themselves out there consistently, confidently, and without second-guessing every move? That feels huge. Overwhelming. Exposing, even.
And you know what? That’s completely normal.
Visibility isn’t about shouting louder — it’s about showing up as you
Somewhere along the way, we started believing that being visible meant being loud, constantly online, and endlessly polished.
But visibility doesn’t need to look like that.
In fact, it shouldn’t.
Because true visibility — the kind that builds connection, trust, and genuine business growth — comes from a place of alignment. It’s about:
Sharing your story in a way that feels natural
Letting people see the real human behind the business
Creating consistency, not perfection
And that’s the kind of visibility that lasts. The kind that helps your audience get to know, like, and trust you. The kind that opens doors, sparks conversations, and brings your ideal clients right to you — not because you shouted the loudest, but because you showed up as yourself.
Are you hiding in plain sight?
Here’s a gentle prompt to check in with yourself. Are you:
Posting only when you feel “inspired” or brave enough?
Using old photos, stock images or Canva placeholders instead of showing your face?
Talking more about your business than your why?
Playing it safe because you’re afraid of what visibility might bring?
If so — that’s okay. You’re not doing it wrong. You’re just ready to grow.
So, where do you begin?
The answer isn’t to flip a switch and go full influencer. It’s to take one small, intentional step toward visibility that actually feels like you.
That might be:
Sharing a recent client win
Updating your profile photo so people recognise you
Writing a post about something you really care about
Or simply showing up consistently, even if it’s quietly at first
Because confidence isn’t something you “have” before you start. It’s something you build by starting.
Final thoughts...
You don’t need to be everywhere. You don’t need to be perfect. You don’t need to become someone else.
You just need to believe that your voice, your work, and your story are worth seeing.
And when you’re done hiding? That’s when the magic happens.
